Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole milk (or oat milk)
  • 4 oz 70% dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Wide strip of orange peel
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch flaky salt
  • 2 tsp cannabis-infused coconut oil (~5mg THC per tsp)
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • Grated chocolate or cocoa nibs, to garnish

How to make it

  1. 1

Combine milk, cloves, cinnamon stick, and orange peel in a saucepan; heat gently to a bare simmer for 8 minutes to infuse.

  2. 2

Strain to remove whole spices and peel; return to the pan over low heat.

  3. 3

Whisk in chocolate, cocoa powder, and brown sugar until smooth.

  4. 4

Off the heat, whisk in vanilla, salt, and cannabis-infused coconut oil.

  5. 5

Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream and grated chocolate. Serve immediately.

Cooking tips

  • Infused oil goes in last, off the heat, to keep the dose stable.
  • Pair with Bubba Kush or Death Star for a deeply restful evening.
  • Stir frequently while sipping—the oil can settle if left still.

Why this pairing works

Caryophyllene — in your strain and on your plate

The only terpene that also activates the body's CB2 receptors, caryophyllene brings warm, peppery depth. It loves bold, savory, spicy food—peppercorn steak, aged cheeses, curries.
