Earl Grey Tea Shortbread
Buttery shortbread perfumed with bergamot and vanilla, with a delicate infused glaze. The tea's natural linalool blooms alongside the strain's.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Earl Grey tea leaves (from ~3 tea bags), finely ground
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar + 3 tbsp lemon juice + 4 tbsp cannabis-infused honey, gently warmed (~5mg THC per tbsp)
- Bergamot zest, to garnish
How to make it
- 1
Cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy, 3 minutes.
- 2
Beat in tea leaves, vanilla, and lemon zest.
- 3
Mix in flour and salt just until a dough forms. Roll into a 2-inch log, wrap, and chill 1 hour.
- 4
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Slice the log into 1/4-inch rounds and arrange on parchment-lined sheets.
- 5
Bake 13–15 minutes until edges are pale gold. Cool completely.
- 6
For the glaze, gently warm honey (do not boil), whisk with infused honey, then with lemon juice and powdered sugar.
- 7
Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies and finish with a tiny pinch of bergamot zest.
Cooking tips
- Whisking infused honey into a warm-not-hot glaze is the safest dose application.
- Yields ~18 cookies at ~1mg THC each—a microdose-friendly batch.
- Pair with Lavender or Midnight Lavender for a tea-time wind-down.

Why this pairing works
Linalool — in your strain and on your plate
Linalool is the most floral terpene, beloved for its anxiety-lowering, sleep-supporting effects. It pairs beautifully with delicate, sweet, slightly floral foods—an ideal nightcap terpene.
