Cannabis Butter Coffee

Bulletproof-style butter coffee with infused ghee, cinnamon, and a myrcene-heavy 5 mg dose. Rich, frothy, golden-topped — the kind of morning that doesn't need breakfast because it already is one.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz freshly brewed dark roast coffee (French press recommended)
  • 1 tbsp cannabis-infused ghee or butter (~5 mg THC)
  • 1 tbsp MCT oil or coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Star anise, for garnish

How to make it

  1. 1

Brew 12 oz of strong dark-roast coffee — a French press gives the fullest body. Pour into a blender while still hot.

  2. 2

Add cannabis-infused ghee, MCT oil, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, and sweetener if using.

  3. 3

Blend on high for 20–30 seconds until frothy and emulsified. The surface should look like a golden cappuccino.

  4. 4

Pour into a dark ceramic mug. The fats will create a natural crema.

  5. 5

Garnish with a star anise on the saucer. Drink while hot — the emulsion breaks as it cools.

Cooking tips

  • Pair with Granddaddy Purple or Northern Lights — myrcene meets myrcene for a deeply grounding morning.
  • The ghee is the dose vehicle. Don't add it to boiling coffee — let the brew cool 30 seconds first to protect potency.
  • At 5 mg with fat-soluble carriers (ghee + MCT), expect a slower onset but longer tail. Plan accordingly.
  • This replaces breakfast, not supplements it. The fat content is substantial — 250+ calories.

Why this pairing works

Myrcene — in your strain and on your plate

Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis and the engine behind many indica-style sedating effects. Earthy and herbaceous, it loves rich, slow-cooked, comforting foods.
