Cannabis-Infused Truffle Mac & Cheese
A grown-up take on the comfort classic: three cheeses, a hint of truffle, and an infused béchamel that melts into every elbow.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cavatappi or elbow macaroni
- 3 tbsp cannabis-infused butter (~30mg THC total / ~5mg per serving)
- 3 tbsp regular butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups whole milk, warmed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar, shredded
- 1 cup gruyère, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 tbsp truffle oil
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Salt, white pepper, freshly grated nutmeg
How to make it
- 1
Cook pasta 1 minute shy of al dente, drain and set aside.
- 2
In a large saucepan, melt regular butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, and cook 1 minute to form a roux.
- 3
Slowly whisk in warm milk and cream, simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes). Season with salt, white pepper, and nutmeg.
- 4
Off the heat, stir in cheddar, gruyère, and half the parmesan until smooth.
- 5
Stir in cannabis-infused butter and truffle oil only after the pan is off the heat to preserve potency.
- 6
Fold pasta into the cheese sauce and transfer to a buttered baking dish.
- 7
Top with panko mixed with the remaining parmesan and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes until golden and bubbling.
Cooking tips
- Adding the infused butter at the end prevents THC degradation from prolonged high heat.
- Myrcene-heavy strains amplify the umami warmth—Granddaddy Purple is a perfect match.
- Leftovers reheat beautifully but recheck dosing per portion.

Why this pairing works
Myrcene — in your strain and on your plate
Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis and the engine behind many indica-style sedating effects. Earthy and herbaceous, it loves rich, slow-cooked, comforting foods.
